Well it offically on 2300 hours on March the 16th, but on Google.ie, google have changed the front doodle to this
So basically using Celtic like symbols to show the Google logo. I must admit I am some what a little disappointed in this doodle. But hey at least google are marking the occasion  well Google Ireland are anyhow.

So what is Paddy's day all about??

St Patrick's Day is a celebration of the Life of Ireland patron Saint ( called Patrick). As legend goes he brought Christainity to Ireland and drove all the snakes from out of Ireland. St Patrick's day is Celebrated through out the world by Irish and non Irish.

Here is a link to the celebration planned in Ireland.Here

So raise a glass of the black stuff ( Guinness ,Murphys or Beamish) and Happy St Paddy's Day. Thank God, they dont have St Patrick day cards yet. Hallmark you are missing another money making oppertuinity!!!

Oh for all you Douthers out there, Treat St Patrick days as a real Holiday!!!

Google Doodle 3.3.10

Well I really need to thank Bina for this one. I was a bit busy today and would have otherwised missed this one. It appered on google.ie web page.  Google's page for Ireland.

Here's the Doodle 4 Google winner that was published today, March 3rd for 24 hours.

The competition is open for secondary schools across Ireland, and the winning doodle was illustrated by Ruth Deeney from Loreto Community School, Milford, Co. Donegal.

Here's the description of the doodle concept;

As Seen Through My Crystal Ball

“My future begins at the centre of 'Google'. Myself as a fortune teller foresees everything around me. The future being squeaky clean, shiny and painted chrome, not by humans of course! We won't have to lift a finger with our advanced technology, like nanny robots and elevators to other planets. Future here we come!”
